We launched! Click to #GetReadyWithMe

Yay! We launched on TikTok with Get Ready with Me scented candles! I decided to start with the idea that many of my friends loved, so find me on TikTok under my shop, TruerThings, or my username @truerthingsLAB, and #GetReadyWithMe. Or rather... get ready with your new super-cute bedroom decor accessory, a scented candle in many intentional healing scents. It's a vibe.

For those who don't know, #getreadywithme or #grwm is a familiar type of video on TikTok and YouTube where creators record themselves talking to their viewers as they... get ready. It's cute, relaxing, and often inspirational. A Get Ready With Me candle is a great accessory for these makeup tutorial or outfit of the day videos, and I'm thrilled to offer beautiful fragrance options that are both calming and energizing, depending on preference. They're a perfect gift, or a cute addition for our morning wakeup routines. Soon, I'll put them on this site -- which I don't know will be quite so makeup/beauty centric, although maybe! (I'm feeling it out, yo) but for now, check them out on TikTok!

Grab a candle or two, OR collect them all and try on scents the same way you try new makeup variations or your #OOTD ;-)

Again, my shop is called TruerThings, and my user profile is @TruerThingsLab. Check them out on TikTok! Yay.

Here are some pics! Glossy glam minimal white is featured, but black satin sexy gloss lids are also available! I like the clean black and white classic aesthetic because I feel like it blends with lots of aesthetics. I'm not minimal by any stretch, but I like the fact that I can accessorize with these and they won't clash. That's not to say I won't go full maximalism eclectic glam or vintage with my fragrance and candle labels in the future, but for now I'm really feeling the clean, contemporary aesthetic of the labels. I was trying to go with a Byredo luxury feel. The jars are simple and easy to travel with.

Fun fact: did you know that the best way to smell a candle is to store the candle with the lid on, then unscrew and smell the lid, not the wax? That way, you'll smell the top, middle and base notes all at once, whereas if you smell the wax, you'll only get the top notes. Interesting!

Here are several of my scent options for the #GetReadyWithMe candles (or #GRWM candles... what do I call this collection? Should I hashtag? Can you tell I'm learning website SEO for the very first time?!)

forestcore (IYKYK, but I might need to change this name... it's basically a balsam cedar scent haha. Should I call it enchanted forest? Magical forest nymph? "The Hunter"? No, that entails campfire wood-- which I totally am working with, for future scented endeavors-- stay tuned)

and below is the "au naturale" UNscented candle, for all those fellow sensory-friendly SPD folk out there :-) All of these contain all-natural vegan soy wax, but with this option, there's no fragrance if that's bothersome to you, but you can still enjoy the get ready with me makeup tutorial, OOTD, or closet-organization girlie calming energy and soothing vibes while you bask in the glow of the gentle flame. If you're ESPECIALLY sensitive and hate wearing clothing- as I do!- the title implies that it's not only fragrance-free but also clothing-optional :-)

There are more on the site, as well as a cute black satin gloss lid option.

xox see ya soon!

P.S. who can recommend some great GRWM's, on TikTok, YouTube, or otherwise? I'm also looking for calming, meditative influencers in the vein of Emma Chamberlain. Suggestions?
